COACHING STAFF FINALIZED FOR 2011-2012 SEASON

Press Release

NDIANAPOLIS—The Indiana Ice finalized their 2011-12 coaching staff with the retention of associate head coach Brad Lutsch and the hiring of new assistant coach Matthew Plante.

Lutsch will enter his fourth season on the Indiana Ice bench and continue serving in his role of Vice President of Player Personnel. He was a member of the coaching staff during the team’s 2009 Clark Cup Championship run.

Plante joins the Indiana Ice after a four-year stint with the Lumberjacks of Hebron Academy in Maine. His resume also includes coaching experience at Wesleyan University and the University of Connecticut.

He has also worked with new Ice head coach Kyle Wallack while playing for Quinnipiac University and both served as assistant head coaches during Plante’s first year with UConn.

“I believe we have a great fit here with Brad and Matthew on my staff as both are hard working individuals,” said Ice head coach Kyle Wallack. “Brad has been behind the bench for three winning teams here in Indy and he and his scouting staff selected some talented players in the draft back in May. Matthew comes in with excellent credentials as he has head coaching experience at the prep level and been on strong collegiate hockey staffs as well.”
