Alexandre Beauregard traded

Press Release

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today announced that Alexandre Beauregard has been traded from the Saint John Sea Dogs to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens. The 20-year-old veteran forward is the older brother of current Saguenéens defenseman Michael Beauregard.

In addition to Beauregard, the Saguenéens obtain the Saint John Sea Dogs’ 2nd round pick while relinquishing their 1st and 3rd round picks in 2012.

Alexandre Beauregard was Rouyn-Noranda’s sixth round choice in 2008. The 6’03'', 196 lbs forward tallied 23 points, including 11 goals in 65 games last season with the Huskies and the Sea Dogs. He also helped his team win the prestigious MasterCard Memorial Cup in 2011.
