Third-year veteran MacDonald dons the 'C' for Caps

Press Release

The Cowichan Valley Capitals recently named their captain for the 2011-12 season.

Filling the leadership role this year is third-year veteran Brendon MacDonald. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound, Charlottetown, P.E.I. native was a natural choice for the coaching staff.

"Mac took on a lot of responsibilities last season and did a great job representing the team both on and off the ice during a trying season," said associate coach Dale Purinton. "He's a fan favourite and we knew he was the right player to wear the 'C'."

Caps general manager Jim Ingram was impressed with the right winger as soon as camp started.

"Brendon is a natural born leader. He takes his involvement in the community very seriously and has a lot of pride in being a role model for the younger fans."
