Wolves' Frank Corrado Signs with Vancouver Canucks

Press Release

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that they have assigned 18 year old defenceman FRANK CORRADO to the Sudbury Wolves.

The Woodbridge, Ontario native is expected to arrive in time for the Wolves home game against the Brampton Battalion on Saturday night at 7:00 at the Sudbury Arena. CORRADO was selected in the 5th round of the 2011 NHL DRAFT after finishing second in team scoring among defencemen with 30 points in 67 games for the Wolves. CORRADO was so impressive during his first NHL training camp that the Canucks signed the 6`, 188 lb rearguard to a pro contract.

CORRADO was a 2nd round selection of the Wolves in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection and the 6`, 188 lb rearguard has developed into a solid offensive defenseman that also plays well in his own end.

"We are very pleased to have Frank return to our club and congratulate him on signing a NHL contract with the Canucks` notes Wolves` GM Blaine Smith. `Frank will help quarter-back our power play and is an excellent puck-moving defenceman. It is great to add a player of Frank`s calibre back into our line-up.`
