CLIFTON RETURNS TO NATIONAL TEAM

Press Release

Wayne, NJ- The Jersey Hitmen are proud to announce that Quinnipiac University recruit Connor Clifton has been recalled to join the USNTDP effective immediately. Clifton, a 1995-born defenseman and one of the youngest players in the EJHL, has had a tremendous season with the Hitmen. This will be the second stint with the US National Team for Clifton this season. Earlier in the year he won a gold medal with the U17 NTDP at the Four Nations Cup in Ann Arbor, MI.

"We are very excited for Connor," commented coach Harris. "He is an elite defender. He is a competitor. He is a great kid. We thought this would be a great opportunity for Connor to keep his game fresh as we (the Hitmen) use the weekend off to heal and rest as a team prior to the EJHL playoffs. We wish Connor luck, and know that he will bring an edge to the USNTDP."

After clinching playoff home ice this weekend in Foxboro, the Hitmen now get a first round bye and will begin to prepare for their quarter final match up this week.
