Justin Rose Accepts Scholarship to Northern Michigan

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce that 20 year old forward Justin Rose (Gibbons, Alberta) has accepted a scholarship to attend and play for Northern Michigan (NCAA Div. I) in the 2012-2013 season. The Northern Michigan Wildcats play in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).

Justin is having a break-out year with the Oil Barons scoring 37 goals and 37 assists for 74 points in 56 games to put him 5th in Alberta Junior Hockey League scoring. Over his 4 year career, he has played in 195 games accumulating 73 goals and 71 assists.

The Oil Barons acquired Justin prior to the 2009-2010 campaign and he has developed and matured on and off the ice. A skilled forward with great speed and natural offensive abilities, Justin has turned into a complete player capable of playing in all situations.

The Oil Barons organization would like to congratulate Justin and his family and wish him all the best in his future endeavours both academically and athletically.

Justin is the 8th Oil Baron to secure a post-secondary scholarship from this year's team.
