Press Release

The Dryden Ice Dogs Jr. A hockey team would like to announce Paul Maclean as the new head coach for the 2012-13 season.

The Dryden Ice Dogs would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL the applicants for their resumes.

I think I can speak for the entire selection committee when I say, “this was one of the hardest decisions we have had to make, due to the overwhelming number and quality of applicants," stated Ice Dogs general manager and director of hockey operations Brad Boyko.

“This is one of those times when we would have liked to have all 17 of the coaches on the bench," added Boyko.

"I know all of them will continue on and do an exceptional job with other teams and the Dryden Ice Dogs wish them all the best in their future endeavors."

"Just the quality of the applicants who applied for this coaching position proves the SIJHL league is being recognized and will continue to grow and prosper in the future."

Paul’s brings an extensive background and exceptional knowledge of hockey with contacts all across Canada and the USA.

“Our first priority is to put a winning team on the ice; second priority is to help players advance after their junior hockey career is over.

The Dryden Ice Dogs take great pride in their track record for helping senior player’s move on to further their education through hockey, and Paul will definitely help us continue with this.

The Ice Dogs welcome Paul to Dryden and can’t wait for the hockey season to begin.
