Petes Hire Director of Business Development & Services

Press Release

The Peterborough Petes are pleased to announce the addition of Kathleen Reeves to their Business Operations team as the new Director of Business Development and Services.

As the Director of Business Development and Services, Kathleen will be responsible for all corporate sponsorship sales, corporate and group ticket sales, game-day operations and the overall game-night experience.

“Kathleen has been involved in sports marketing and management from the University level, to the Amateur level and at the Professional level with the Ottawa Senators” says Petes General Manager David Reid. “The Peterborough Petes are very happy that Kathleen has chosen to move back to her hometown of Peterborough and bring her knowledge and experience to our business team.”

Kathleen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team after working for the University of Ottawa – Sport Services, Ottawa Senators and most recently from her work with The Commonwealth Games and Olympic Solidarity on a one year contract in Turks and Caicos to promote Sport and Physical Activity.  She is a Peterborough native, graduate of St. Peter’s Secondary School and holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Ottawa.

“I am really excited to join the Peterborough Petes front office. The staff has been very welcoming” says Petes new Director of Business Development and Services Kathleen Reeves.  “I am looking forward to getting involved in the community, meeting new people, and implementing new ideas around the arena.”

The addition of Kathleen to the Petes team will allow Assistant General Manager Aaron Garfat to focus on the Business Operations of the team, expand the Petes Social Media outlets, website and Community Relations while Director of Merchandise Don Sharp will be able to solely focus on the Petes Store operations at the arena, and in Lansdowne Place over the holiday season.

“The business operations of the team have grown immensely since I joined the team in 1996 when it was a one person operation” says Assistant General Aaron Garfat.  “Kathleen’s direct focus on sales will allow us to grow our business operations while creating more excitement at our games. She brings a lot of experience and great ideas to our office and I look forward to working directly with her.”
