Bulls announce trade with London

BELLEVILLE, ON - The trades continue to come in Belleville as Bulls Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett announced Wednesday that the team has parted ways with 2011 6th round draft pick Michael McCarron, sending his rights to the London Knights.

A native of Macomb, Michigan, McCarron was a 6th round pick by the Bulls in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. This past season with the US Development Program, McCarron scored 6 goals and added 21 assists in 53 games. In 35 games with the US NTDP Juniors, he scored 3 times and added 14 assists. At 6 foot 5, 220Ibs. he'll be continuing this season with the US NTDP. In the long term, McCarron has expressed an interest in joining his older brother John at Cornell University.

In exchange, London will trade a 5th round selection in 2015, along with three conditional draft picks. Those selections include Mississauga's 2nd round pick in 2015, London's 2nd round pick in 2017 and London's 2nd round pick in 2018.

"Michael has committed to the US Development Program for the coming season and is intent on playing at Cornell," said Burnett following the deal. "We feel we've received a strong return on this player. Should he choose to come to the OHL, he'll be able to player closer to home in London."
