Dutra named Captain‏

Press Release

The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots have named Kyle Dutra their 2012-2013 team captain. Dutra, who served last season as a co-captain for the Patriots will take on the sole responsibility this coming season. "Although we have a few players who can lead our team, I feel Kyle is the best fit given his work ethic and exceptional leadership qualities. Kyle joined our team two years ago out of midget hockey when we were rebuilding and has helped the Patriots succeed through this transition period. I know Kyle will be an excellent leader and role model and exemplifies the type of player the Patriots look for" commented Tarantino. Dutra was a 2012 Team Canada East member and earned a silver medal at the World Jr. A challenge and Central Canada Cup member. In 2011, Dutra was chosen to play in the CJHL Top Prospects game and was on the radar for several NHL teams. He has received a full scholarship to Mercyhurst University beginning September 2013.

Congratulations Kyle. The Patriots are proud to have you lead them next season.
