OHL Mourns Loss of Sting Scout Greg Clark

Press Release

Sarnia, On – The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club wish to send its deepest sympathies to the family of Greg “Clarkie” Clark who passed away Saturday evening with his family by his side.

Greg worked the past season with the hockey club as its Southwestern Ontario regional scout.

General Manager Jacques Beaulieu who hired Clark to work for the organization released the following statement.

“Clarkie was one of the very first people I hired when I got the job here in Sarnia. Working out of the London area and being heavily involved in Jr. B hockey I had the pleasure of knowing Clarkie for several years. I will always remember his passion for the game and his unique sense of humor. Clarkie was someone everyone enjoyed being around and he will be sorely missed.”

Prior to working with the Sting, Clark worked for the Peterborough Petes, UWO Mustangs, St. Mary’s Lincolns and Strathroy Blades.

A memorial service will be conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Greg are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the L.H.S.C. “PEPP“ Clinic.
