2012-2013 SEA DOGS ROSTER ANNOUNCED

SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs for the 2012-2013 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League have been selected. The team’s main training camp begins on Tuesday, Sept. 4 and the following players will be reporting for camp:

Twelve players made the cut from rookie camp this year and will suit up for the Sea Dogs in September. Three of those players, Oliver Cooper, Sebastien Auger and Devon Oliver-Dares, saw significant time with the Sea Dogs during the team’s second President Cup-winning season.

Another familiar player, MacKenzie Brown, had three points in two preseason games for the Dogs. His two goals were both tallied with the man advantage. Brown played 13 games with the Sea Dogs in the 2011-12 season.

The young, new talent on the team will also include Saint John’s top five selections in the 2012 QMJHL entry draft.

Seventh-round selection Marcus Cuomo was the go-to faceoff man for the Sea Dogs and finished with a 72% success rate on the draws while Fredericton native Spencer Smallman had a team-high three assists in two contests.
