Broncos Sign Child

Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has signed netminder Travis Child to a Western Hockey League contract.

Child was selected 29th overall by the Broncos in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6’1", 173-pound Killam, AB native played 1,111 minutes with the Camrose Vikings (AMBHL) last season where a posted a 7-8-4 record, a .910 save percentage and a 3.46 GAA.

Child has made one pre-season appearance with the Broncos so far in the 2012 All-Rookie Game against the Moose Jaw Warriors, where he stopped nine out of ten shots he faced.
