The Peterborough Petes are excited to announce a partnership with RBC and their “Play Hockey Initiative” that will see the Petes host six Open Practices and Community Skates in local communities, partnering with the local Minor Hockey organizations.
The
program will see the Petes host an open practice followed by a community
skate with the local minor hockey organization. The Local organization
will hold an equipment drive and distribute the equipment to families
within their organization in need of assistance. Representatives from
RBC will hand out free hot chocolate to the children participating in
the community skate.
The first
of six Petes/RBC Open Practices and Community Skates will take place at
the Douro Community Centre on Monday September 24th. The
Petes will practice from 5-6pm followed by the community skate from
6-7pm where Petes players will sign autographs for all children in
attendance.
