MUSKEGON, Michigan (October 25th) – The Lumberjacks are proud to announce the signing of Defenseman, Chaz Switzer, to a three-year contract tender.
“We
are very excited to have Chaz Switzer be a part of the Muskegon
Lumberjacks family, and it is a terrific opportunity for him to play in
his hometown,” said Lumberjacks CEO/General Manager Josh Mervis. “Chaz
is a quality young man that has the work ethic to prosper in the
USHL. He has a great opportunity to compete at the highest level here
for the next three years. In his third year, we see Chaz being one of
our captains.”
Chaz
Switzer will be eligible to play for the Muskegon Lumberjacks beginning
in the 2013-14 season, and he is currently playing for the Compuware
Minor Midgets out of High Performance Hockey League, who are currently
ranked number one in the nation. The Lumberjacks will exchange a first
round pick in the 2013 USHL Futures Draft for signing Switzer to the
tender.
Chaz
Switzer, a Muskegon native, is the son of former Muskegon Mohawks
Forward/Defenseman, Erle Switzer, who spent six seasons with the Mohawks
from 1978 to 1984.
