Team USA Duo Chooses University of Minnesota

Team USA defensemen Jack Glover and Ryan Collins have both committed to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota following their USHL careers.

It is the first USHL season for the defensemen who are playing with Team USA’s Under-17 squad.  The 16-year-olds were born just 11 days apart and will return to their home state when they begin their college careers.  Collins is from Bloomington, Minnesota and has dished out two assists while posting a plus-two rating in seven USHL games this season.  Glover is a native of Golden Valley, Minnesota and has chipped in one assist through six games this season.

Collins and Glover are joined by Team USA forward Hudson Fasching who is also committed to the school.  Six other current USHL players will play hockey at Minnesota; Gabe Guertler (Fargo Force), Vinni Lettieri (Lincoln Stars), Michael Brodzinski (Muskegon Lumberjacks), Jake Bischoff (Omaha Lancers), Taylor Cammarata (Waterloo Black Hawks), and Justin Kloos (Waterloo Black Hawks).

The University of Minnesota is a member of the WCHA and has 19 USHL alumni on the roster; Seth Ambroz (Omaha Lancers), Travis Boyd (Team USA), Nate Condon (Fargo Force), Erik Haula (Omaha Lancers), Seth Helgeson (Sioux City Musketeers), Justin Holl (Omaha Lancers), Christian Isackson (Sioux Falls Stampede), Ben Marshall (Omaha Lancers), A.J. Michaelson (Waterloo Black Hawks), Kyle Rau (Sioux Falls Stampede), Connor Reilly (Sioux Falls Stampede), Ryan Reilly (Sioux Falls Stampede), Nate Schmidt (Fargo Force), Tom Serratore (Youngstown Phantoms), Michael Shibrowski (Des Moines Buccaneers), Brady Skjei (Team USA), Blake Thompson (Waterloo Black Hawks), Sam Warning (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), and Adam Wilcox (Tri-City Storm).
