California's Stirtzinger signs NAHL tender with Texas Tornado

Press Release

The California Titans of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced today that 18U forward Liam Stirtzinger has signed a tender with the defending Robertson Cup Champion Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

Stirtzinger, 17, is in his first season with the 18U Titans after playing last season in the NAPHL for the Titans 16U squad.  The native of Moorpark, California, currently leads the Titans in scoring with 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) in nine games played.  His 12 points ties him for 5th in NAPHL 18U scoring.  The California Titans 18U team currently has a 7-2-0 record, which puts them in a tie for the top spot in the 18U’s Red Division.
Stirtzinger’s biggest production of the season came in the first Blaine Showcase when he had 10 points in five games.  He also recorded two points in the NAPHL West Showcase in San Jose back in October.

Although the games didn’t count in the NAPHL standings, Stirtzinger had a good showing at the most recent NAPHL East Showcase in Romeoville, Illinois, where he also had a goal and assist.

Last season Stirtzinger (6’3/195) played in all 18 NAPHL games for the California Titans 16U squad, where he led them in scoring with 20 points.  Stirtzinger and the rest of his 18U Titans teammates will be on display at the fourth NAPHL event of the season in Blaine, Minnesota, from November 30-December 3.
