Eagles netminder Santaguida posts back-to-back OT wins to earn POW

Surrey Eagles goalie Michael Santaguida has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25, the leagu announced Monday.

Sanataguida helped the Eagles to a pair of overtime road wins over the Prince George Spruce Kings and posted a .955 save percentage and 1.38 goals-against average in the process.

The Mississauga, Ont. native stopped 35 shots on Friday to earn 2nd Star in a 2-1 Eagles win and followed up with 29 saves in a 3-2 triumph. For the season, Santaguida now leads the BCHL with a .936 save percentage.
