Sault Ste. Marie, ON native, and outgoing Soo Greyhounds captain COLIN MILLER is the latest player to sign a professional NHL contract.
It
was announced earlier this afternoon that Miller has agreed to terms on
a three-year entry level contract with the Los Angeles Kings.
He was originally selected by the Kings in the 5th Round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
This
past season with the Hounds, Miller reached career highs in both goals
and points tallying 20 goals and 35 assists (55 points) to go along
with a +13 plus/minus rating before notching seven additional points in
the post-season.
In league
awards, Miller was named the recipient of the Mickey Renaud Captain
Trophy, voted "Most Underrated Player" in the OHL Western Conference
Coache's Poll and named to the OHL's 3rd All-Star Team for 2012-13.
