South Shore’s Marino commits to Yale

Foxboro, MA—The South Shore Kings Organization and head coach Scott Harlow are proud to announce the commitment of John Marino to Yale.

A South Easton, MA native, John has spent three seasons with the Kings organization. John never having played high school hockey choose the Kings this year for his development opportunities. This season John has played for the Kings in the Empire Division, the U18 Midget Division, and now is a staple on the Kings Premier Division team. In his 32 games this year for the Kings Premier team John has posted scoring stats of 6 goals, 10 assists for a total of 16 points. John was also a member of the USPHL all-star future prospects team. A 6-foot defenseman, John is known for his impressive play making ability from the blue line and being only a 97 birth year, he has plenty of time to polish his games with the Kings before his hockey career begins with Yale.

“John Marino has the most upside of any hockey player I have coached in 20 years. He has a hockey IQ that is off the charts. When his body catches up to his ability the sky is the limit for him,” said Harlow.

The entire South Shore Kings organization wants to wish John and his family the best of luck in the future.
