Press Release
The Guelph Storm Hockey Club is pleased to announce that forward Zack
Mitchell has signed a three-year, entry level contract with the NHL's
Minnesota Wild, starting in the 2014-15 season.
"Zack is very deserving of an NHL contract, as he has been our most
consistent two-way forward over the last two seasons," said Storm GM
Mike Kelly. "The Wild have a made a very shrewd free-agent signing on a
player who has a good chance to be a top-nine forward on an NHL
roster."
In 62 games with the Storm this season, Mitchell sits fourth on the
club with 77 points, and leads all Storm forwards with a plus-45
rating. He recently became the franchise's all-time leader in games
played and has tallied 237 points in 317 games over five OHL seasons.
