Press Release
The Erie County Convention Center Authority announced at a press conference this afternoon that they have secured $32 million in state funding for improvements to the Tullio Arena.
ECCCA is scheduled to appear before County Council on Tuesday in hopes of adding an additional $10 million in funding to the renovation project. Project representatives do not anticipate County Council turning down the additional funding.
If approved, the $42 million renovation project could begin by late August with actual on-site renovations beginning as early as December.
It's not expected that renovation work will not interfere with any scheduled events in the arena.
