STORM ADD MUNSON TO 30-MAN ROSTER, DROP FOULK

Press Release

KEARNEY, Neb. – General Manager/Head Coach Josh Hauge announced that the Tri-City Storm have added Fairbanks Ice Dog C Tayler Munson to the 30-man roster.

The addition was complete following the Storm dropping D Griffin Foulk off the protected roster, as the former Storm defenseman recently signed a contract with Everett in the Western Hockey League.

Munson, who is 6-foot-1 and 195-pounds, has played for the Ice Dogs for the past three seasons. He scored 96 points (33g, 63a) and has a plus-29 rating in 122 career games in the North American Hockey League. In the last two seasons, Munson scored 19 points (11g, 8a) and was a plus-19 in 21 playoff games, and was part of Fairbanks’ Robertson Cup Championship (NAHL Champion) in 2011.

The Fairbanks, Alaska native is committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks following his junior career and will attend the Storm’s Main Camp (June 13-16) in Las Vegas, Nev.

Hauge and the hockey operations staff are currently preparing for the main camp, where they will cut the roster down to 25 players on July 1, 2012. The 25-man list will be comprised of players reporting to training camp in Sept. 1, 2012 in Kearney.
