Gamblers Even Series

The Green Bay Gamblers defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks 2-0 in game 2 Sunday afternoon at the Resch Center. The Gamblers even the series at 1-1 going into Waterloo for a game 3 contest where the Gamblers are undefeated on the road and the Black Hawks are undefeated at home in this postseason.

After two periods of no scoring, playoff scoring leader Alex Broadhurst batted the puck into the net after an initial shot by Sam Herr at the 6:52 mark in the third period to put the Gamblers up 1-0. Broadhurst leads the USHL in the postseason with 8 goals, 6 assists, and 14 points.

Alex Kile put the game at rest with an empty net goal at the 19:18 mark scoring the last goal of the game. The Michigan recruit scored his 4th goal of these playoffs.

Goalie Ryan McKay was impressive in between the pipes recording the win with 22 saves on 22 shots. The Miami of Ohio recruit has a playoff record of 7-2.

The Gamblers are on the road this Friday and Saturday to face the Black Hawks in game 3 and 4 at the Young Arena in Waterloo. Face-off is set for 7:05 p.m. for both games.
