Two players on the Indiana Icc make a commitment

The Indiana Ice announced that forwards Chris Martin and Kevin Goumas have made their college commitments. Following their USHL careers, Martin will attend St. Lawrence University and Goumas will head to the University of New Hampshire. Both made their USHL debut during the first weekend of the regular season.

Goumas, a 17-year-old from Lake Worth, Florida, was selected by the Ice in the second round of the USHL Entry Draft in May. He will join current Ice teammate Justin Agosta who has also committed to UNH, a member of Hockey East.

Five other current USHL players are committed to the University of New Hampshire; Jeff Silengo (Sioux City Musketeers), Eric Knodel (Des Moines Buccaneers), Jamie Hill (Waterloo Black Hawks), Nick Sorkin (Waterloo Black Hawks), and Cody Campbell (Fargo Force).

The UNH Wildcats boast 12 former USHL players on their roster for the 2009-10 season; Dalton Speelman (Green Bay), Scott Pavelski (Waterloo), Mike Borisenok (Green Bay), Brett Kostolansky (Chicago), Nick Krates (Omaha), Mike Sislo (Green Bay), Blake Kessel (Waterloo), Mike Beck (Sioux City), Greg Burke (Cedar Rapids), Brian Foster (Des Moines), Matt DiGirolamo (Waterloo), and Phil DeSimone (Sioux City).

Martin is a 6-1, 208-pound native of Kanata, Ontario. The 18-year-old joins Ice teammate Sean Logue as a St. Lawrence University commit.
