Quarter-Final 4: Toronto Marlboros 2 vs. Waterloo Wolves 1
Bryson Cianfrone scored both Marlies goals and Alexander Fotinos shut the door to earn Player of the Game as the GTHL Champions earned a hard fought 2-1 win over the Waterloo Wolves.  Cianfrone completed a pretty tic-tac-toe play in front of the Wolves goal on the power play at 14:34 of the first period which held as the game-winner, with assists from Jared Gilbert and Nicolas Ritchie who had two points in the contest.  Cianfrone's fourth goal of the tournament made the score 2-0 at 4:02 of the second period, with the Wolves' Ray McFalls scoring their lone goal at 7:09 of the second.  The Wolves kept it close and had their chances in the third period forcing Fotinos to make some nice saves during their only third period power play.  Jimmy Soper had a great chance with under two minutes to play, and the Wolves lost a couple of key offensive zone faceoffs in the final minute helping the Marlies hang on.  "The guys came out strong and they bailed me out when I needed them and I bailed them out when they needed me," Fotinos said following his third win of the tournament.  "This group has been together for more than four years so it is nice to keep this going."  Held scoreless today, Brent Pedersen led the Wolves in tournament scoring with four goals in five games.
