Kings forward Leung stars on road trip, earns BCHL POW nod

Powell River Kings forward Jarryd Leung has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 22, the league announced Monday.

Leung helped his team to a pair of wins in three road games and racked up six points. The Victoria, B.C. native opened with a pair of goals and a helper in an 8-3 win in Coquitlam where he was named 1st Star and FortisBC Energy Player of the Game. He followed that with a goal and two helpers and 2nd Star in a 7-2 win in Vernon.

The 19-year-old's production established a new career high in points.
