ENNS CONFIRMS COMMITMENT TO MERCYHURST

Toronto Lakeshore Patriots defenceman Tyler Enns (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Mercyhurst College Lakers beginning with the 2014-15 Atlantic Hockey season.

The 6', 185 lbs. native of Mississauga, Ontario is entering his second season as a member of the Patriots after making an immediate impact in helping the club win the South Division title last season as a rookie. After notching eight assists during the regulas season campaign, Enns would record five points, including his first junior goal during the Pats march to the South-East Conference Final.

"Tyler is an exceptionally smooth skating defenceman who makes good decisions with the puck and has some offensive upside," said Patriots Head Coach Mike Tarantino. "We are very happy that Tyler has achieved his goal of attaining an NCAA scholarship and look forward to having him suit up with the Patriots for the next two seasons."

He joins current Patriot Captain Kyle Dutra who will be entering his freshman year at Mercyhurst after this season and is the club's sixth NCAA Division I commitment in the last 12 months.
