Mantha Commits to North Dakota

First-year Musketeer defenseman Ryan Mantha has verbally committed to playing for the University of North Dakota. The 6’5, right-handed shot is a Clarkston, Michigan native. Previously, Mantha played on the Belle Tire U16 Michigan midget team. As a part of that team in the Tier 1 Elite League, Mantha recorded 22 points (8g, 14a) in 38 games.

“We’re very excited for Ryan,” Head Coach and General Manager Brett Larson said. “He’s a great addition to our team and he’s got a bright future ahead of him.”

Mantha is also Sioux City’s first tendered player under the United States Hockey League’s new guidelines.
