NTDP Notes

Below you will find the schedules of the National Team Development Program Under 17 and Under 18 teams.

The Under 18 Team plays opponents from Division I and Division III, NAHL, and the Indiana Ice of the USHL. They also play in International Tournaments. The Under 17 plays in the NAHL and International Tournaments.

USA Hockey also said that the Under 17 roster will be announced later this week. The Under 18 roster will be announced next week. Chris Heisenberg has the unofficial rosters. It should interesting to see what the Under 17 team looks like.

A poster on the WHLFans forum received this email regarding Under 18 player Drew Shore.

There was a persisting rumor at the Select 17's in St. Cloud (which I attended for McKeen's) that he was heading to the WHL this year. He even sat out one of the games and was seen near the locker rooms talking with Team USA officials.

My closest source to this issue says he thinks Drew is going to the WHL. This is all rumor and my gut says he would stick with the USNTDP, but you never know? Especially if Jeremy Morin etc. take off first.

Shore is a dynamic player, great speed and skill for a big kid. He would be a huge addition to Chilliwack.
Shore WHL rights belong to the Chilliwack Bruins. Last year with the Under 17 Team, he had 13 goals and 25 assists in 54 games. He's committed to Denver University for 2009.

Not NTDP related but defenseman Greg Pateryn has been added to Under 20 Evaluation Camp roster. He's incoming freshman at Michigan. Last year with the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets, he had 3 goals, 24 assists, 145 penalty minutes in 60 games.

That's My Take
