Thomas Vincour signs with Dallas Stars

Frisco, Tex. – The Dallas Stars announced today that the hockey club has signed center Tomas Vincour to a three-year entry level contract.

Vincour, 19, was Dallas’ fifth round selection (129th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The Czech Republic native is currently in the playoffs with Vancouver of the Western Hockey League (WHL), scoring one goal in three games thus far. Vincour recently completed his regular season in the WHL, appearing in a combined 57 games between Edmonton and Vancouver and earning 29 goals and 19 assists for 48 points with a +6 rating.

The 6-2, 203-pound center was also part of the Stars’ team at the 2009 Traverse City prospects tournament, finishing tied for second with Tousignant for the team lead in points (1g, 2a). Vincour amassed 62 goals and 61 assists for 123 points in 236 games over three seasons in the WHL, and also represented the Czech Republic in both the 2009 and 2010 World Junior Championships.
