Broncos and Warriors Swap Prospects

Press Release

Swift Current, SK---Swift Current Broncos General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb has announced the club has acquired prospect Matthew Francyzk from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for Preston Amundson.

Francyzk, 17 years old, is a 6'2" 200 pound defenseman from Winnipeg. He was selected by the Warriors in the 5th round, 89th overall in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft. Last season with the Winnipeg Wild of the Manitoba Midget League, Francyzk had 4 goals and 25 points in 41 games.

Head Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb adds to the team's defensive depth. "We like Matthew's size and he has some offensive upside. He bolsters our young group of defensemen, especially in the 1993 born age group."

Amundson, from Edmonton, heads to Moose Jaw after originally being selected by the Broncos in the 7th round 144th overall in the 2008 Bantam Draft.
