Cougars Announce 2012 Training Camp Schedule.

PRINCE GEORGE B.C. – The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce their Training Camp Schedule for Friday, August 24 through Tuesday, August 28^th.

All players will register at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, August 24^th. Players born in 1996 or 1997 will then be split into teams named after Prince George Cougars alumni (Team Hamhuis and Team Chara). The returning veterans will practice separately.

Headlining the list of 1997-born players will be both Cougars first-round draft picks in 2012, Jansen Harkins (second overall) and Brad Morrison (seventh overall).

Each team of ’96 and ’97 born players gets a full hour of practice time on Friday beginning at 5:30 P.M. before the scrimmaging begins Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M. Scrimmage sessions last 90 minutes each, and run until 8:30 P.M. Saturday night.

The two teams will play twice more on Sunday, first at 9:00 A.M. and then again between 7:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. The veterans will practice at 11:00 AM Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The Young Guns Game takes place Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. and then camp concludes with an Intra-squad game at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at CN Center.  Admission is $2 for adults and no charge for children under 12. The rest of Training camp is open to the public and free of charge.
