Wakaluk Up for CJHL Award

Press Release

It’s been a dream season for Melville Millionaires netminder Alex Wakaluk.

The Bellevue, Alberta product was named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Most Valuable Player, and with numbers like his it’s impossible to argue with the selection.

The 19 year old posted a .930 save percentage and was 28-15-3 on the season.

The selection as SJHL M.V.P comes with a nomination for the CJHL Player of the Year Award.

Wakaluk is now one of ten Junior A nominees eligible for the award which is handed out annually at the RBC Cup (May 11-19 at Summerside, PEI.).

Saskatchewan’s last national winner was Devin Edgerton of the Humboldt Broncos who won the award in 1991.
