AJHL Player of the Week

November 16th, 2009 – Sherwood Park Crusaders forward, Cody Kunyk, is the Source for Sports AJHL Player of the Week for the week of November 9th – 15th, 2009. In three consecutive road games, Kunyk tallied 4 goals and 10 points for the Crusaders.

Kunyk leads the Crusaders in scoring with 41 points and is 5th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race. Kunyk leads the AJHL with an average of 2.1 points per game. Cody Kunyk also received the honour of Source for Sports AJHL Player of the Week in September 2009.

Cody Kunyk was a member of Team Canada West at the 2009 World Junior A Challenge (WJAC) in November. Kunyk and Team Canada West captured the silver medal and Kunyk was named to the 2009 WJAC Tournament All-Star Team.

Kunyk is in his third season with the Crusaders and has committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for the 2010/2011 season.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League is proud to partner with Source for Sports to recognize the AJHL Player of the Week for the 2009-2010 AJHL Season. The recipients of the award will also receive a Source for Sports Gift Certificate.
