Saints Appoint Michael Ringrose as Assistant Coach

The Spruce Grove Saints are pleased to announce that Michael Ringrose will join the Saints Coaching Staff for the 2010/2011 season. Michael is a former AJHL All-Star who spent most of his career with the Sherwood Park Crusaders before finishing his Junior career with the Drayton Valley Thunder.

Since playing in the AJHL, Mike achieved a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Alberta specializing in Coaching Studies. He also instructs at the Vimy Ridge Hockey Academy, and for the past two years Mike coached the Leduc Midget AAA hockey program.

“It is a great opportunity to work with the Saints who have built a solid culture of success. I have a lot of respect for what the Saints coaches have done in the past years and I am excited to start building towards another AJHL Championship”, said Michael Ringrose.

“We are excited to bring in a coach of Mike’s calibre to our organization,” stated Saints General Manager Jason McKee. “Mike’s strength as a coach will without a doubt be an invaluable asset to the coaching staff, and we are looking forward to Mike being an integral part of all facets of the Saints organization moving forward.”
