Marner commits to Knights

Press Release

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that the London Knights 2013 1st round pick Mitchell Marner has committed to and entered into an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player's Agreement with the London Knights.  Marner, a Thornhill, Ontario native, is a product of the Don Mills Flyers minor hockey program.  He also joined the St. Michael’s Buzzers on their 2013 playoff run and scored the game winning goal on April 17, 2013 against the Newmarket Hurricanes.

Marner was introduced to the media today at the 2013 London Knights Awards and Championship Ring Ceremony in the newly launched white London Knights jersey.  This new white jersey, along with the Hunter green jersey worn the past two seasons, will be a primary jersey worn by the Knights this season.  The black jersey will now serve as the team’s alternate.
