Finland Routs Czech Republic, 7-1
Finland's National Under-18 Team defeated the Czech Republic, 7-1, this afternoon at Ridder Arena in a pre-tournament game prior to the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation World Under-18 Championship, April 9-19, in Fargo, N.D. and Moorhead, Minn.
Finland built a 5-0 lead and outshot the Czech Republic, 38-9, through two periods, finishing the game with a 42-20 shots-on-goal advantage.
Mikael Granlund tallied two goals and an assist to lead Finland in the win.
