McKegg added to the roster

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Erie Otters’ forward Greg McKegg has been added to the Western Conference All-Stars roster for the 2010 OHL All-Star Classic this coming February 2-3 in Kingston, ON, at the K-Rock Centre. McKegg replaces Greg Nemisz of the Windsor Spitfires who is unable to participate due to injury.

McKegg, a 17-year-old from St. Thomas, ON, is playing in his second OHL season with the Otters after being selected with the second overall pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection. This season McKegg has 25 goals and 33 assists for 58 points in 50 games where he is ranked 14th overall in league scoring. Eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, McKegg scored two goals including the game-winner plus one assist last night in a 6-1 win over the Kingston Frontenacs as second star of the game.
