Petes acquire local player

The Peterborough Petes announced today that General Manager David Reid has completed a trade with the Saginaw Spirit to acquire 19 year old forward Dylan Fitze in exchange for an 8th round draft pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.

Fitze, a graduate of the Peterborough Minor Hockey System has played the past two seasons with the Liftlock Stars recording 33 goals and 61 points in 90 regular season games with 174 minutes in penalties. In 6 games with the Spirit during the 2009-10 season Dylan recorded 3 assists and 4 penalty minutes.

“Dylan brings depth to our forward group” says Petes General Manager David Reid. “He has had success with the Liftlock Stars the past two seasons. This move gives Dylan the opportunity to work his way back to the OHL.”
