SPITFIRES SIGN MALETTA

Press Release

He's a big part of the future of the Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club.

And today, Jordan Maletta was officially welcomed into the fold. At a press conference at the WFCU Centre, the Spitfires announced that Maletta, 16, has signed a hockey and scholarship package with the club.

"We're very happy to add a player of Jordan's caliber," Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel told windsorspitfires.com. "He'll have an immediate impact. His size and skill are a welcome addition."

The Spitfires selected Maletta in the first round, 13th overall, in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.

Last season, Maletta put up 33 goals and 26 assists for 59 points in 48 games with the St.Catherines Falcons.
