Consistent production earns Grizzlies forward Gerry Fitzgerald POW nod

Victoria Grizzlies forward Gerry Fitzgerald has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 23, the league announced Monday.

Fitzgerald was remarkably consistent in helping the Grizzlies to two wins in three games during a Mainland roadtrip. In each game, the Port Alberni native scored a goal and an assist and was named 3rd Star.

The 5-foot-8, 170-pound 19-year-old leads the Grizz in scoring with four goals and four assists on the season and moved to fifth in the BCHL scoring table.
