The Trappers also have brought in former Canadore College Varsity Club Hockey assistant coach Justin Mathias on board as an assistant coach to help out new Trappers bench boss Zane Neily. 

On the scouting side, Glen Huard will take on the new role of Director of Scouting; taking over from Wayne McClelland who joined the staff of the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos this spring.    The well respected hockey Dad of the Guelph Gryphons forward Nick Huard, was recently the vice chair for the 2013 Dudley Hewitt Cup committee.

Longtime West Ferris Minor Hockey coach Heath Marson has also joined the organization officially as the Trappers Northern Ontario Scout.
