Press Release

Cedar Rapids RoughRiders goaltender Mike Rotolo has committed to play college hockey at Rochester Institute of Technology following his USHL career.

Rotolo is in his second full season and has compiled a career 32-16-5 record with a 2.58 GAA and .909 SV%.  He was acquired by the RoughRiders in early February and made a USHL career high 39 saves in his first appearance for the team, a 2-1 shootout loss to League-leading Dubuque Fighting Saints.  The following night, he picked up his first win for the RoughRiders, making 28 saves in the 3-2 win over the Chicago Steel.

The netminder had posted 14-8-1 record this season with the Green Bay Gamblers prior to the trade.  He broke into the USHL last season with the Gamblers and posted a 13-2-1 record with a 2.15 GAA and .922 SV% as a rookie.
