Kirill Kabanov Heading to 2010 IIHF World U18 Championship

Press Release

The Moncton Wildcats have confirmed that forward Kirill Kabanov will be returning home to Russia for the opportunity to take part in the 2010 IIHF World Under-18 Championship, which gets underway April 13-23 in Minsk and Bobruisk, Belarus.

“The Wildcats believe that Kirill could benefit from this experience for his long-term hockey development,” said Danny Flynn, Director of hockey operations and Head Coach of Moncton Wildcats. “Unfortunately, as result of his lengthy injury, he’s only been able to play one third of our games this season. I’m confident this world hockey experience will help his continued development.”

During this playoff series, the Wildcats are currently leading two games to none against Cape Breton. The next games are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday night at Centre 200 in Sydney.
