Press Release

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that forward Matt Puempel of the Peterborough Petes is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 14. Puempel becomes the first rookie to win the award this season, scoring four goals and four assists for eight points in two games with a plus-minus rating of plus-3.

Puempel became the youngest player in Petes’ history to score 33 goals in a season breaking the record of 30 goals set by Ryan Spooner last season.
