MOOSE JAWS MAKES DEAL WITH REGINA AND CHILLIWACK

Regina, Sk – The Regina Pat are proud to announce the acquisition of 20 year old centre, Thomas Frazee, as well as a 4th round Bantam pick in 2011 and a 6th round pick in 2012 from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a 2nd round Bantam pick in 2012 and a 5th in 2013.

Frazee had a solid regular season with the Warriors in 2009-10 scoring 20 goals and accumulating 55 points in 17 games. He broke out in the Warriors playoff series with the Hitmen last season with 10 points in 7 games.

The 6’4” centre began his career with the Portland Winter Hawks as a 16 year old in 2006-07 and was a 1st round pick of the ‘Hawks in 2005. Tomas was a free agent invitee to Dallas Stars camp this past month where he played in 3 games, picking up an assist.

Frazee joins forward Colin Reddin as the only two 20 year olds currently on the Pats roster, one less than the league maximum of 3.

Chilliwack, BC -- The Chilliwack Bruins have acquired 18 year old forward Mike Forsyth from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

Forsyth, who was an 8th round pick by the Warriors in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft, spent the 2009-10 season with the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Camrose Kodiaks where he scored seven goals and added 14 assists in 57 games.

Forsyth is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Bruins open the season vs the Vancouver Giants.
