Officiating Staff Announced for 2011 Rogers OHL Championship Series

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the officiating staff for the 2011 Rogers OHL Championship Series between the Mississauga Majors and the Owen Sound Attack set to begin Tuesday night at the Hershey Centre.

Referees named to work the series are veterans Craig Spada of Ridgeway, Ontario, Sean Reid of Ottawa, Ontario, Scott Hoberg of Clinton Township, Michigan, along with Scott Ferguson of Mississauga, Ontario and David Lewis of Whitby, Ontario.

Linesmen selected to work the series are Jordan Browne (Oshawa), Kevin Hastings (Kitchener), Ryan Lachine (LaSalle), Matt Traub (Thornhill), Sean Pindar (Etobicoke) and Jesse Wilmot (Hamilton).

Hoberg and Spada are working their fifth Championship Series, Reid is working his forth and Ferguson and Lewis their first. Among the linesmen, Hastings is working his ninth finals while Lachine and Traub are working their sixth, with Browne, Pindar and Wilmot making their first appearance in the finals.

In addition to the nine officials working the Championship Series, veteran referee Darcy Burchell is currently representing Hockey Canada at the 2011 IIHF Men's World Championship in Slovakia.
