Lumberjacks Relieve Jim McKenzie of Head Coaching Duties

Press Release

MUSKEGON, Michigan (May 24th) – The Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced that they have dismissed Head Coach Jim McKenzie of his duties within the organization.

“We strive to be the best in the United States Hockey League, and simply put, we did not achieve our goals this past season,” said Lumberjacks President Tim Taylor. “The second half of the season was not acceptable by the organization’s standards. Our fan base, players, staff, and the community as a whole deserve better than average, so we will continue to work hard at being the best.”

The Lumberjacks are currently in the process of finding a new head coach for the upcoming 2013-14 season and expect to have an announcement made in the near future.
