JUNIOR A HOCKEY RETURNS TO ROCHESTER

Be there when history is made on Saturday, October 2nd, when the Rochester Stars host the Capital District Selects as Junior A hockey makes its return to Rochester.

The Stars take on Capital District at 7 pm and the two teams square off again on Sunday, October 3rd ,at 10:00 AM, with both games being played at the Sports Centre at MCC.

The Stars are owned and operated by Maksymum Hockey and play in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL). The roster consists of highly skilled players looking to play Division 1 or 3 college hockey as well as Major Junior or Professional hockey.

Formerly the Syracuse Stars, the team was bought by Maksymum Hockey and moved to Rochester in 2010. The Stars are an extremely successful franchise that has a long and rich history of moving players to the College and Professional levels. The franchise has produced:

· 11 NHL Players

· 15 AHL Players

· 18 OHL Players

· 51 NCAA Division I Players

· 84 NCAA Division III Players

Some notable former Stars players include; Brian Gionta (Montreal Canadiens), Tim Connoly (Buffalo Sabres), Robert Esche (Philadelphia Flyers), and Dustin Brown (LA Kings).
